harrahs

I am beginning to feel the same way about Harrah's.I just got my Seven Stars
card playing VP primarily at the Flamingo. I'm relatively new to this
group. It seems to me that many casinos are discouraging serious VP
players.

I live in Atlanta and visit Vegas 4 or 5 times a year. I prefer $1 or
higher JOB & DB. I just want to be treated right and do not want to play at
a Harrah's Seven Star level (Seven Stars means I played a million dollars on
VP.)

I am not a rich person and am not trying to brag. I do think I am very
lucky wherever I play. My wife is not a gambler and she travels with me on
most of my trips to Vegas. Therefore, I need a place where there is good
comped food, a decent room, a decent spa (for her) and good comps to shows.
It makes no difference to me where I stay since the time spent in a
taxi/limo from the airport is no big deal. Just give me a decent place to
play at the level stated above with the "extras" for my wife.

Our next trip is set for November when we take our free trip courtesy of
Seven Stars and take advantage of Harrah's "Gift Wrap" promotion. After
that, I am pretty much open to alternate suggestions from any of you.

Thanks for any assistance any of you can provide!

PS- Do you think it make any difference if I mentioned my concerns to my
Exec. Host?

I feel the same as Al. As casinos and casino groups are looking for a way to boost the bottom line, lower paytables are going to happen. The jury is out whether the bean counters will chase Harrah's VP players to another casino. I also base the value of a casino on both comps and paytables. In looking, I have found that casinos vary widely on how comps are accumulated, so you have to compare apples and oranges!!!
