I know that I was able to do this when I first achieved 7 * I imagine you can with the other tiers, but I would go to the players club, or a host, to get a new card of the new tier you have achieved.

Thanks Larry, I believe that the people at the Player's Club once told me that after "x" number of points, I'd be eligible for the next level Tier Status. I guess I'll go see them again at the 4000 pts mark (Platinum) and get details as to when the status will commence as well as how long the status will last.

This isn't necessarily true. I made Diamond (in a day) in late September of 2009 and they told me that my Diamond status expires on March 31, 2010. But they said that if I had made Diamond in a day in December 2009, it would have been good through December of 2010. I don't understand this, but that is what I was told when I was at the Rio in February.

Earning Diamond in a Day is different than earning it by earning the entire 11,000 points in one year. If a player does not earn the remaining 8000 points to earn "regular" diamond status during the balance of the year when they earned Diamond in a Day, why should they continue to be given diamond status. Diamond in a Day is a way for a good palyer to earn Diamond status immediately and the related benefits; not a short cut way to earn diamond status for potentially two years without any additional play.

DIAD is 3000 points, right? Full diamond is 11,000 - so you get the goodies for a few months, but you need to get the full amount to be carried to the next year. At least that was the deal when I was a big HET guy - in another life....(-;
