I recently heard that Harrah's is trying to buy out
all Caesars properties. Does anyone know if there is
any truth to this? I actually hope so since we have a
Caesars riverboat close by and I believe that Harrahs
has better player incentives. In fact, my friend
Russell recently won a VP tournament at Harrah's in
Lake Tahoe for a sweet prize of 10,000 dollars and is
now on his way to Atlantic City where the top prize is
one million bucks!>>>

Re player incentives, for Lake Tahoe the incentives at Harveys were
noticeably worse after Harrahs took over as bouncebacks of almost monthly $500 per
disappeared replaced by Harrahs meager bounceback program which has almost gone
to zero for locals. For about a year after the takeover, Caesars did offer
noticeably better vp progressives which had good meter rates but it didn't do
anything for market share as only the locals got to play the machines when it
was highly positive. Now vp in all 4 of the major casinos have gone downhill
in spite of the competition from the California casinos. Maybe it's because
the vp in the California casinos is so bad, they realized they didn't need to
set the bar so high?
