Harrah's & Showboat Atlantic City JOB ($5 and up denom)

I've just completed my fifth losing trip in a row....this time at
Harrah's.

On latest trip, quads were few and far between, and of course no
STRFL
or RF.

I bumped into two other VPFree members, and their recent experiences
are similar to mine.

Could it be that they have installed a sub-program on these machines
when removing them for renovations a few months ago?

I know this sounds paranoid; but everyone seems to be losing. In
addition, when I did get a quad (four jacks), three of a kind jacks
followed on the next three of four hands....a statistical anomaly to
say the least.

I'm finished with Harrah's and Showboat in AC. I'm going to try
Caesar's AC (just in case Harrah's hasn't screwed with those
machines!)

I hate to give up on the whole Harrah's empire (since I'm seven
stars, but what good are Comps and CB if the playing field isn't
level?

If you're taking a survey, count me in as another AC loser ($1-$2

denom). They've upgraded all the machines at the Tropicana too and I'm
beginning to feel like I'm playing slots. Nothing, nothing, nothing
and then a few ridiculous hands and then back to nothing. This has
been going on for months. Melodi

I have complete confidence the AC machines are just as random as their
NV counterparts.

In other news, not surprised that Trop is upgrading. Aztar is on the
block (we're rooting for Ameristar, though it looks like it's
Pinnacle's deal to lose), surest way to pump up the numbers is to
upgrade the machines.

How so?

Scot

I thought this was straightforward...let's see..make the 7-5 Jacks
9-6, speed up the meter on the AC Joker progressives, make the Double
Joker 9-5 instead of 8-5.

Thanks -- now I know why I've been getting whiplash @ 3X the normal
speed!!!! (I wasn't really questioning the integrity of the machines --
know full well that I'm losing because I'm losing -- although in the
last few months the strangest combos have been occurring -- got 5 of a
kind on AC JP twice with 4 jacks on the prior hand and then another 4
jacks with the joker on the very next hand -- what are the chances???)

Purchase a copy of Frugal VP, where you can run play simulations and
view the outcomes graphically. Losing is the session norm; winning is
an aberration.
