Harrahs seems to have cut back the comp point accumulation rate in
tunica for some VP machines, just wondering if anybody had noticed
similar changes at their other properties. The way Harrahs does comp
points is they give you rated play "base" points, 1 for $10 CI, plus
some unknown mystery-formula number of bonus points that usually
works out to 2-4x the base points.
Lately, most of the good quarter VP machines have stopped giving any
bonus points. All you get is the base amount. However, the good $
machines still give the bonus points, as do at least some of the not-
so-good nickel machines.
A few weeks/months ago Harrahs here started offering to redeem
limited amounts of comp points for cash at a 2-for-1 ratio ($2 of
comps buys $1 of cash) - that may be related.
