Can't help with N.Towner rooms but can the host part of your question.
I recently have experience with two host in Laughlin.
One helped me out with concert tickets for another non affiliated casino. He was not getting credit for my play ( another Vegas host was ) and he went WAY beyond the call of duty getting them for me, his response was I was just doing my job.

I was not even home yet from our Laughlin trip and she emailed me flight information of junkets for four months out. That has evolved to email relationship back and forth. I'm not even getting Laughlin offers yet from April play, but she is bringing me in on a junket in Aug and taking me to dinner at the Range.
Between the two of them, I don't feel you could go wrong.
