I stayed at Harrah's Rincon two years ago. Having said that, let me say
that on a good day it is an hour's drive from the Holiday Inn you mentioned.
I would plan at least an hour and a half travel time. I am vaguely certain
there is some sort of "day" shuttle service from different points in San
Diego to Rincon. Be aware it is not "interstate" to Rincon. Lots of two
lane, windy roads. In other words, you definitely do not want to be in a
"rush" mode.I would suggest calling Harrah's Rincon to get specific
information about shuttles.
If you have the time, I would definitely stay there. The casino/hotel is
stunningly beautiful as is the scenery. Even though this is a native
American casino, alcohol is available. However, drinks are NOT comped. I
am not a heavy drinker by any means but it was a surprise to saddle up to
the bar to play a little VP and have to pay for my drink(s).
I am afraid any information I could provide on pay tables would be out of
date. Hope this helps.
