Would appreciate any comments on Rincon (gambling, food, service, etc.)
We're doing a surprise birthday visit for Mom's 89th and want her to
stay there with us. (She was at Resorts AC opening day!)
Thanks in advance,
kc
Harrah's Rincon (San Diego)
Harrahs Rincon is a great property as far as rooms, service and food.
For gambling, suggest you look at the database.
As has been said many times, the casino is in a remote location and best to have a rental car. Approximately one hour from the San Diego airport in non-rush hour traffic.

There is an excellent newspaper The Southern California Gaming Guide, www.thegamingguide.com that has info about all the San Diego area casinos including the shuttle bus schedules to all of them which are quite plentiful from many areas of the county. For example Harrahs, has a bus pickup at the Old Town transit center where you can connect from the blue and green line trolleys and many city bus routes. The web site shows so many Harrah's buses that you have to click on each starting point to show all the schedules. In addition North County Transit Bus #388 connects to Harrah's Rincon from the Escondido Sprinter rail Station. FWIW this same #388 also goes by 3 other casinos as well.
