Harrahs rebate offer in May

I received an offer from Harrahs about a 10% loss rebate. It
states "applies to slot play only", but I wonder if they include VP as
slots....meaning that table game players are excluded.

Have any locals been able to get clarification? Thanks in advance.

I haven't spoken to anyone about it, but we had a similar rebate offer
a couple weeks ago that included VP. I believe they're meaning you get
a rebate on any electronic play; you won't get refunded for table
play. And by the way, it's not just a loss rebate, it's a win rebate
as well! I imagine someone will post a definitive answer shortly about
the VP.

I haven't rec'd any May mailers from Harrah's KC.

Usually, I get at least one mailer with 4 cash coupons. So far,
nothing.

Is this true for anyone else?

Never mind. I shouldn't post before I have my morning coffee. I just
thought to check My Offers on Harrah's website. It doesn't show ANY
offers from Harrah's KC for the month of May. Looks like I haven't
received anything because I'm not supposed to.

.

We also got ours from NKC and a couple of good ones from Prairie Band.

BTW, yesterday we tried the ten percent rebate promotion and, yes, it is good for VP. By manipulating cards (don't ask, don't tell) we managed to show a $400 (me) loss and a $200 (LL) gain for an actual loss of $160. Also saw a young man on the $5 AA in the High Limit area hit a straight flush --- 5000 bucks for one hand.

That's one yes and one no on whether the promo is valid for VP. Hmmmm.

I placed a call to Harrahs today. I got passed up the ladder a few
times but think I finally spoke to someone who had direct knowledge of
this offer. This person stated that video poker IS included in the
promotion....but until someone actually receives his/her rebate check
in the mail we can't be certain.

The two boothlings I spoke to didn't even know what I was asking about
until they consulted a reference sheet of some sort. I give their
answer to me a very low grade for credibility.

I will go back to Harrah's tomorrow and see if my status for mailers
has changed. I may ask about the promotion again.

I spoke to my host this morning and she also confirmed that VP is
included.

I'll see everyone next Monday.

They finally put up signage about this promotion. Here's the
condensed version:

···

-------------
10% Rebate**
Mondays & Tuesdays in May
Minimum $50 win or loss, "cumulative".
The rebate is the same (10%) for both wins and losses.**
The max rebate is $200 (i.e., $2000 win or loss)
The rebate is mailed on the Thursday.
Slot play only!
-------------

However, hockey and at least one other person in this forum have been
told it applies to VP, too. I decided not to ask again. I'll just
play some AA next Monday and Tuesday and I'll see if I get a rebate
check.

*This contradicts the newspaper article that said the rebate is 20%
for losses, but 10% for wins.
