Harrahs questions

We are heading out to HL tomorrow for a few days and I wanted to ask a
few questions

is there a health club (workout facility) there and if so do they
charge to get in?
can I get a pass being Diamond and bring a guest? my neices are going
with me and want to work out

how much are the river taxi tickets? I rememebr someone saying they are
available at TR desk for a discount. How many can you get?

I like it hot....think I'll be happy  <JK>

thanks
Trish

Trish,

They have a workout room, very basic, but adequate. No showers or spa stuff though. Fee is (was?) $5, but free for Diamond.

Have Fun!

7* gets you two free round trips on the water taxi.
Diamond gets you half price.
Don't know about other levels or using points.

standard fare is $4.

I took my first trip to Laughlin (a junket) in early April. The
standard fare for the River Taxi was $4 one way between any two
casinos. I was told by my host (too late to take advanage of it)
that Diamond card holders could get tickets for half - price at
the TR booth. I didn't think to ask about gold cards, or guests.

I was too busy on my return to write a trip report, but I had a
great time on my first visit there. A host at Harrah's arranged
for a very nice room for me, a welcome basket of fruit etc,
turndown service. I would like to see more playable VP
paytables, but there are a few machines that I could enjoy (see
the vpFree database - it was accurate). I liked the ambience,
and all Harrah's-Laughlin personnel, from host to bartenders,
cocktail waitresses, slot people, and housekeeping, were
cheerful, super-nice, and helpful.

The only other casino I hit on that trip was the Riverside. Lots
more playable VP than Harrah's, but it was so quiet, and with so
few players, at times I had to look around to be sure I hadn't
ducked into a Nevada church with VP machines at the communion
rail.

All in all, a fun and profitable trip - I'll go back and stay at
Harrah's again, and I'll re-visit the Riverside, and try to see a
couple of the other casinos with decent VP.
