Jean, it's very simple: as I'm sure you probably already know, when playing a machine at a Harrah's property, you earn both "base" points and "bonus" points. On the days when you can "turn base into bonus", they will add an additional amount of "bonus" points, which is usually (if not always) 2x the base points earned.
