Since I know that you are a frequent and knowledgeable Harrah's
player, can you eludidate on the "ratings"? i.e., is #18 a "good
enough ADT" rating to encourage strong offers from HET? If not,
what ADT number rating would a player need in order to receive
free
room offers at high end HET properties?
Hi Babe:
I don't know about the "knowledgeable" part of your description.
Most knowledgeable players seem to have moved on from Harrah's (with
good reason), but I'll try to expound on what I know, or believe.
#18 is a list number in the Total Rewards data which a host can look
at, such as #18 is your 6-trip ADT, #19 is your one year ADT, etc.
Hosts at Harrah's will sometimes discuss your ADT with you if you
ask the right questions in the right way. And sometimes not.
I don't know what a good ADT score is, or what minimum rating one
would need to receive better offers, and I don't know if anyone
does. My best guess is it's a moving target. We talk about these
things constantly in the Harrah's Yahoo! group and on the LVA
message boards (where I'm just a lurker). In my experience, you
will receive basic room offers based on your Tier status (Gold,
Platinum, Diamond, Cubic Zirconia). Additional offers then come
from your "home" property--every Harrah's player has a home, and you
can request a change.
The biggest difference I've seen is based on what you play. A friend
and I have been comparing offers for about a year. We have
maintained similar ADT and Tier scores, but he receives many more
tournament offers, and most of his special offers are on weekends
and mine are not. He plays 75% vp and the rest carnival games and
slots. I play 95% vp and 3% craps. I've also been having a good
year in 2007, which may affect my offers. As always, YMMV.
