Harrah's NO

All of my play was on single line $5 9/6 job and I earned zero bonus credits. This was just this last weekend.

So does FP VP earn bonus reward credits in the big easy or are
machines set with low theo a la Caesars LV? I'm guessing I'm

gonna

have lots of time for sight seeing and pigging out.

Chandler, I hope you re-consider playing HET NOLA. In my opinion,
it is one of HET's "best-kept little secrets."

We too were concerned about the zero bonus points we had read
about. But after 8 NOLA trips in the last 12 months, we now
understand the method in their madness.

First, the zero bonus credits are only on 6 machines -- the 3/5/10
play FP machines. From the vpFree database, you will notice there
are many playable $1 and above single-line games (including 9/6
JoB), about 20 or so. On these machines you earn about 1:1,
bonus:tier.

Now 1:1 is nothing to brag about in most HET's. But after several
trips to NOLA, we began to see why NOLA offers such a low ratio of
bonus to tier – you really don't use reward credits while in NOLA.
They send so many dining credits, reel play vouchers, no charge for
both-way airport stretch (soda, liquor, water, ice provided),
airfare reimbursement, and free shows & events. After 3 trips in 3
months, we are now given discrectionary comps for all of our room
charges – without depleting our rc account and no reward credits
taken.

NOLA has been working very hard to get people to return after the
hurricane, so they are allowed to step out of the HET norm of how
they do things. Besides the above-mentioned, some other unique
perks are 1) if you have no airfare reimbursement offer, you can
take you flight itinerary to VIP services, and they will reimburse
you in cash from your reward credits. 2) You can bring your
receipt from almost any restaurant in NOLA to VIP, and they will
reimburse you in cash from your reward credits. 3) There are many
tours & and tourist sites that they will comp upfront or take out of
your reward credits.

Stop by the VIP services, and see what is available to you and how
the reimbursements work. If this is your first trip to NOLA, ask a
host about discretionary comps after your play.

One negative of NOLA - .25 vp is not so good.

We are taking advantage of this little sweetheart deal in NOLA until
HET finally decides they have re-built their customer base and down-
grades vp and offers. But it is too good a deal to pass on at
present.

Of course, YMMV.

.

Gosh, Joel, I'm sorry to hear that. With 3 Vegas trips this summer,
we have not been to NOLA since April. So obviously things could
certainly have changed. We will be returning to NOLA Aug. 25. I
hope I don't find other things have also changed since April!

BUT as I said in my description of Harrah's NOLA, we never use
reward credits when we are there. We only go for the weekend, and
usually have $250-$300 worth of dining credits. And our host picks
up any extra room charges we might have (using no rc's).

So with dining credits, freeplay, airfare reimbursement, free
airport limo, we find the abundance of playable vp to be a nice
trade-off for no/low bonus credits.

I guess it just depends upon what is important to each person. It
works for us, but YMMV.
