Harrah's New Orleans

I received an offer for three free nights at any
Harrah's/Caesar's property. Harrah's New Orleans caught my eye. Not
because it has such great video poker, but because it would give me a
chance to stay in New Orleans.
The issue: Maybe I haven't read the literature closely enough,
but it doesn't appear that the casino has a hotel yet. The offer
expires before they'll finish it.
The question: Does anyone here have enough firsthand experience
with Harrah's New Orleans to know if they have an arrangement with
nearby hotels? Has anyone stayed at a place close to the casino that
honored a Harrah's room offer?

     Thanks,

     David F.

Harrah's NO is located right in the middle of Downtown New Orleans and
is surrounded by downtown hotels. I believe they have comp
arrangements with 4 of them. My recommendation would be the W hotel,
if you are under 40 and/or like the Palms atmosphere. Otherwise, any
of the other hotels are fine and convenient.

The W Hotel, Loews, and Windsor Court are 3 very nice hotels. I would choose one of those. The are all in agreements with Harrahs.

We have stayed twice at "participating with Harrah hotels" in New
Orleans. This was when they had better VP. Harrahs comped us at both.

We stayed at the W the first time ..a very nice trendy boutique hotel.
Rooms are smallish. Beds are great ! Very interestingly furnished.
Nice staff.

The second time we stayed at the Windsor Court. We chose this hotel
to get a different feel and because I knew that some of the pro teams
stay there. It is a more stately, luxury hotel than the W. Nice
rooms, traditionally furnished. Nice staff.

We are on our way there tomorrow with the same thought in mind. When
you call VIP or whatever number the offer directs you to, you will
probably be offered a selection of several near by hotels that Harrah's
has an agreement with. Bon chance.
