Harrahs New Orleans Shopping Spree

We have a junket from Newark next week and received a call from a host about a shopping spree. Has anyone ever attended one of these, what to expect, they said electronics, small appliances, sporting goods. I would appreciate any details as brands, specific items and prices. Thanks in advance. Also, does anyone know if they run any cheap transportation from NO to Biloxi, buses, train, would not want to bother renting a car.

*greyhound has buses from nola to biloxi, from the bus terminal in nola (a
bit out of the way, and somewhat notorious from its use as a holding pen
during katrina days) to the depot in biloxi, which is easily within
walking distance of beau rivage. you can order tix online. be prepared for
interesting clientele.*

Biloxi is fairly lenient about sending a car to New Orleans to pick you up and bring you back for no charge. I would not hesitate to ask your host since they gave you an offer must be an indication that you have some consistent play. Give the driver a $20-$40 tip.

Generally shopping offers are only worth about 50% of face face value at most. So if they tell you that you have $1000 the goods will only be worth $500 or less.

You could just about rent a car for the price of the tip, the limo generally isn't free, in Vegas takes at least 5900 in reward credits from your account. But you could confirm that with a host whether or not it's free or takes reward credits.

Count on about $18 of gas use.

I think the value is a little better than 50%, I'd say unless you have a fair amount available for shopping that it's not worthwhile.
