Harrahs New Orleans and Total Reward Question

Hi,

Have been enjoying this group and finally have a question. I made
Diamond this year. Actually I ended up getting just over 3000 tier
points for a total of 8500 tier points. Very close to natural
Diamond. Was doing so well I put the cash back in multi-line VP JOB
and ended up wiht 7102 tier points for that casino day! All this play
was at Harrah's Phoenix, AK Chin.

At that time the TR desk attendent told me my daily ADT was 1251.
Averaging my play from earlier in the year it was up to $451.

So my question is Harrah's New Orleans. Anyone been there? Is there
a Diamond Lounge? If so how does swiping a diamond card to go to a
lounge affect your ADT? It registers or triggers a casino visit
right?

Since I am there for a meeting and might not have time to play I'm
better not to insert my card into a machine or to visit the lounge or
to even use Reward Credits for meals or does it matter? I read notes
ont VPFree database for Harrah's New Orleans and saw people
complaining about poor bonus credits and such. Anyone been there
recently?

It would be great to have some updated input. In the past I've heard
not to jump between Harrah's properties in Vegas the same day because
it will trigger another visit. I've heard a "visit" is 3 days not
just one day so average the play out and don't go big on one day and
not play the others.

I will be back in Vegas soon so just wondering how to optimize the
play. I was there last month for 3 days but only really got to play
one night for about $8000 coin in at Flamingo because we checked out
Wynn and Palms that trip too. My ADT dropped to $380.

Thanks everyone!

The N.O. Diamond lounge will not trip you, but it's on the small size.

There is a diamond lounge. I'm not sure if using it trips you.

Since I am there for a meeting and might not have time to play I'm
better not to insert my card into a machine or to visit the lounge

or

to even use Reward Credits for meals or does it matter?

Harrah's NO allows reward credit use for quite a few off property
restaurants. If you have a balance built up it's not a bad way to
use them. Free tix to aquarium and one or two other places are
there for the asking as well. The comp perks at Harrah's NO are
excellent.

Bonus credits are stingy on some vp machines not so much on others,
but as usual the meat is in the marketing offers with Harrah's.

It would be great to have some updated input. In the past I've

As I understand it, the opposite is true with Harrah's. Daily
average is king so concentrate your play in as few days as possible.

In my opinion, if you are not prepared to play your "normal" amount of play for a day, I would avoid going to Harrahs New Orleans especially if offers are important to you.

"'ve heard a "visit" is 3 days not just one day so average the play out and don't go big on one day and not play the others."

I believe the concept of the three-day trip is passe and Harrahs is using daily average as the primary criteria.

Thanks for all the input. It appears I need to contact Adam or wait
for a response from him?

So using the Diamond lounge won't trigger or register a trip, but
using RCs might?

** Can the above be verified? Another member wasn't sure if using the
lounge might or not. Adam? I assume he is on this group right? Also
regarding use of RCs, please see below.

On the Herrah's NO web site I did see there are affiliations with some
"off site" restaurants and such across the street from Harrah's New
Orleans. With 45,700 RCs it would be great to use some but not if it
will mess up my ADT. When I was in Flamingo last, they told me I was
an "upper level" Diamond with ADT of $410 or so.

I guess it's all relative. My friend plays craps and made 7 Stars this
year so he's ADT is $2200. When we travel with him a lot of comps are
taken care of so not may chances to use my own RCs unless I buy gifts.
So it would be nice to bleed some off in New Orleans if I'm not
penalized.

Thanks again. This group is a fantastic resource.
