my two cents: as i mentioned in an earlier email, i have five standing
offers for airfare (x$400 and $600), room, limo to and from airport, etc., in
h-no for feb., mar., and april (i'm going for mardi gras and again in april),
and i also received the cruise offers, with $400 travel reimbursement. as i
also mentioned earlier, i am only diamond, not being able to reach 7* (though i
would have) before katrina hit. obviously, therefore, there's a lot more
going on than card status (my host, who is no longer there, always referred to
my theo, and said i could get air and room anytime i wanted). i have found
this increasingly to be the case, in atlantic city and las vegas as well as in
new orleans. the card tier gives you 'certain' privileges, such as for food
lines, private club rooms, gifts, etc. however, which room/suite/floor you
get, how often airfare is offered and under what conditions, special
promotions, etc., are not clearly defined areas and are generated under each casino's
arcane method of determining who gets what. in my case, i don't have 7*
status, but my theo from when i did play in a few trips previous to katrina
seems to trigger all the offers i'm getting. (this is just supposition on my
part, though based on some info i have received from hosts.)
i think they're making it harder for the jean scotts of the world (though
there really is only one, of course) to make clear how to determine your 'comp
value' at a particular casino!

THERE??, I made 7* last year after the hurricane so have never gotten an offer
from them, GET THEM FROM RENO,RINCONE,TAHOE AND AK-CHIM so i was wondering
how i might get a cruise with them, thanks for any info

receive via mail you can try
contacting a host at Harrahs New Orleans to see if they can get you in.

Good news - Host Dana Yuratich is back in New Orleans. Mary White is
name
of another N.O. host.
Offer I got was -- go to New Orleans on either
March 9-11 - offer 39CRUISE
or
April 13-15 413CRUISE
Pick up gift on Fri. -- choice of Sharper Image Air Sanitizer, foot
soother,
or Roomba Discovery Vac.
Pick up cruise package on Sat.
Choice of
Royal Caribbean Grandeur of the Sea - 7 days, Balcony - Sail Dates either
Dec. 2-9 2006 A7
or Dec. 16-23-- package B7
or Ocean View Carnival Sensation -- Oct. 30-Nov 4 -- C5
or Nov. 4-9 - D5
My package (I'm 7*) was for $100 airfare reimbursement.
A friend (Diamond) got $400.
I tried to book for A7 but was told all sold out. Booked for B7.
Why would anyone choose 5 nights ocean-view over 7 night balcony???
But now I am not sure about going because airfare to get there April 13-15
is so high. I have a call in to a host to see if they can bump up airfare
reimbursement.
Apparently other people have gotten different airfare reimbursements for
different offers.
I was told airfare reimbursement was dependent on how much you played/lost
on previous trip but amounts seem somewhat weird, so there may be some
flexibility by host.
