Apparently all the MGM/Mirage and Harrah's properties will be combined into
one slot club of some sort sometime in 2006. Also as I read the reports,
play at any of the casinos for 2006 will be combined together to determine
Diamond or 7 Star status. This will not be done in 2005 (too bad!). It is
unclear whether some properties will still have some differences, for example maybe
Harrahs will continue to have no RFB, just use points, while some
Mirage/Caesars properties might allow you to have RFB. Promotions could also differ,
depending on property.
Right now I'm getting the same sort of promo offers I always have gotten for
Paris and Bally's, such as $500 cashback (cashbash promo for 4 hrs of play)
or $1000 cashback or $1000 shopping spree (these vary depending on play).
But I'm now also starting to get Harrahs-type offers I never had before, such as
stay and get a free Tommy Bahama shirt (big deal compared to $1000!), or
stay and see Le Reve, etc.
