Harrah's Mailings

Anyone get a mailer from harrah's Rincon for Sept. ? We always get
them about the thr=ird week of the month - as of today - nothing and
there is nothing on my offers on the web. can't figure out why. We
have been playing there and I certainly have not been winning very
much. My husband had one good hit but that was 2 months ago and he
has since played there.
Anyone not get a mailer and expected to get one?

I too gamble at Rincon a lot ever since jan-july things have changed a
lot over there. you say you have been playing there. what does this
mean a month? 1, 2, 3 thousand a month (through the machines). sorry
not enough. if you play video poker kiss those freebies goodbye. Did
you notice that firehouse across the street 6,000,000 to build
2,000,000 a year to maintain. my information is coming from employees
so how true it is i don't know. Harrahs HET is trying to sell off all
their Tribal Indian properties. They just are not making the profits
needed to appease shareholders. HET is doing everything possible to
make these properties more attractive to sell. Not sure where you live
but i see adds for Rincon all the time now during prime time. where do
you think they are getting the money for that. yes your coupons. again
this is from employees. unless you are willing to put 10-20 thousand
through the machines every month don't expect coupons every month.
every other month if you are lucky. Pauma is investing 300 million
dollars for a 400 room hotel managed by Foxwoods from Connecticut.
right now they are doing an environmental study on 40 acres of
orchards that need to come down to build the resort. Foxwoods is a
great company. Valley-View has "plans" for a hotel TBA. Harrahs does
have "plans" to expand in 2009 to build an all suite 400 room hotel
like Rio in vegas, but Harrahs also had plans to build a Caesars (yes
high end) across the street from Rincon. my friend works for the city
of san diego and harrahs has applied for all the permits to expand
over 2 years ago. there is another problem with Rincon. they signed a
bad deal with the state that limits them to only 2,500 machines. that
is why you always see machines being replaced not added at the casino.
Miss there is a lot you don't know that is going on with that place.
right now none of it is good. If you want to be lied to by the direct
mailing department of Harrahs Corp headquarters in Vegas here is the
number 702-946-3363. Good luck and hang in there. Just remember to
have fun not stress. Hope this helps.

Well, we have gotten the mailers every month and yes we play VP - $5
level. So..I was just wondering if anyone did get theirs? The
mailers also list the multiplier dates so..This is the first time in
2 years that it has not shown up. FYI... We run through alot more
than $3K a month - at least 10x that,

Sorry, I need to correct something I said. I said it was not $3K a

alone I ran through over $25K in the machines. ($1 & $5 machines)

The next time you go there to gamble go to the diamond registration
and ask for a host (john mcdonald) if he is working. show him your
cash and ask what can be done for you to make up for your non mailers.
he will then go in the back and look at your play and then come back
with an answer. if you dont like that answer ask for the executive
host he has a dark complexion with a beard and the most expensive
suit. show him the cash you are willing to gamble that day and things
will start to go your way. i gambled 30k just to get diamond in a day
and i got what i want and you sound like you gamble way more than me.
also harrahs rincon goes through a 3rd party for the mailings and if
you skip a month (of gambling) because of a vacation the computer
skips you as a coupon recipient. i know john well and there is a young
black guy who is cool. just dont get cathy she is a bitch. i wish i
could be there to help you as i did with my mom but i think you should
be fine just dont take "NO" for an answer. YOU NEED A HOST AND SHOULD

the seafood buffet.

one more thing. say you play only on 7x times (like me). since july
this has been happening to rincon people. say you play 30k on july 1st
a 7x day and then you are busy so the next 7x day you play is on aug
18. well the computer already has you as not gambling for 6 weeks.
they program it now to cut you off. the system since july is "what
have you done for me lately". your 25k from yesterday wont go into
effect until next month unless you use a host. please use the hosts.
get what you deserve.

Yes Grandma I got mine this month and it sounds like I play a lot
lower limits than you.....maybe just got lost in the mail this time or
something. Maybe give them a call and see what their response is. Can
you see your offers on Harrahs.com? they should be there right?
I have frequently skipped months not going and yet continue to get the
mailers.....the amount on the coupons to put in the machine drops down
when you don't play ofr awhile but still always get them.

The offers are not listed on the website either and you are right,
they do put them out there if they mailed anything so that is why I
think they were not lost.

Thanks for the info - I appreciate it. With all the play I have
done there I never have had a host there and never had a host
contact either of us. yet, Harrah's in reno, Laughlin, etc...are
filling my inbox with stuff. I did notice that when I have been
into the registration lounge to check into the hotel for different
little promotions, they are all very rude. Not sure what their
problem is. Considering Harrah's is well known for good customer
service. The floor personnel are great. I will try contacting this
Mr McDonald. he can easily see my last days of play and I play on
mulitplier point days and non-multiplier point days, So, none of
this make sense.

one more thing. say you play only on 7x times (like me). since july
this has been happening to rincon people. say you play 30k on july 1st
a 7x day and then you are busy so the next 7x day you play is on aug
18. well the computer already has you as not gambling for 6 weeks.
they program it now to cut you off. the system since july is "what
have you done for me lately". your 25k from yesterday wont go into
effect until next month unless you use a host. please use the hosts.
get what you deserve.

Like you (or someone) mentioned, Harrahs uses a outside printing and
distribution company for their mailers. They send the data about 2
months ahead so the co. can print and mail them and get to us before
the period the mailers are good for.

So, your offers are based on your play from a min. of 2 months prior
and then your history from that point backwards. They do not know if
you have or have not been there to gamble during the last 6-8 weeks.
Typically they do not cut you off of the marketing mailers for at
least 6-12 months from your last play. Sometimes if you stay away
your mail will get better to see if they can lure you back in.

I agree with you somewhat, but since jan 06' I gamble every month 1x a
month on the 7x day but a lot. Feb, July, and now September of 07' no
coupons. Never happened in 06' Gamblinggranny (something like that)
had the same problem but she would gamble about 3x a month and on the
7x day 30k. She doesn't have any September coupons either. I agree
that what you say was true last year because I can prove that but
things have changed this year and I can prove that too. I really wish
your method was still in effect because I could play accordingly
(which I did last year). Now I have no idea what is up and have to
play within the first 10 days of the month. My mother lives in Las
Vegas and visits Rincon once a year. She gets coupons 12 months a
year. So I think you are right about not using them to give them the
impression you "might" be back.
