Harrah's Lounge changes

Hi Gang:
In answer to Misscraps' inquiry, Hedy and I stayed Friday and Saturday
nights at Harrah's AC this past weekend and found no changes in its Seven Stars
Lounge or Diamond Lounge. Both were operating on their normal hours and the food
offerings had not changed. We ate in the Seven Stars Lounge Friday afternoon
and enjoyed its ambiance, waitress service and terrific menu.
Saturday afternoon we ate in the Diamond Lounge and it had its usual
selection of hot and cold foods, pizza, soup, desserts etc.
We spoke to one of the Harrah's upper-level employees with which we've
become very friendly and he shot down the very suggestion that the Seven Stars
Lounge would be closed at Harrah's AC. He said if that happened there would be a
revolt of Harrah's very best customers, claiming that there are upwards of
600 Seven Stars members who number Harrah's AC as their dominant property.
This weekend, coincidentally, was the annual Seven Stars party/banquet Harrah's
throws to congratulate new members and renewals (the year runs from April
1-March 31) and Harrah's chairman Gary Loveman attended to address the crowd.
They certainly rolled out the red carpet to all Seven Stars members, including
champagne sent to the room.
The person to whom we spoke also suggested that Caesars Palace in Vegas was
working on something "bigger and better" for its Seven Stars players. He also
shot down the thought that Caesars Palace may be up for sale ("Caesars is a
winner, why would we want to sell it," he said) but agreed that the Showboat
property in AC probably would be on the block soon.
So, as of now, everything is status quo, at least at Harrah's AC. We'll be
back next weekend and will keep a close eye on any developments.
Regards,
CoachVee (Tom V) & Hedy

Can anyone who has been in AC this weekend confirm or definitely deny that
the changes will also hit AC?

I visited the Showboat Atlantic City Diamond lounge Friday night and found the situation the same as CoachVee found at Harrah's - no change in selection of hot and cold food and hours remained the same.
