I think the point system varies from market to market. For instance, I
went to Harah's in Tunica, MS and played dollar 9/6 JB and quarter/50c
Ugly Ducks, as well as a little bit of slots (Texas Tea -- can't
resist), and got bounce-back cash and coupon cash out the wazoo, plus
three free nights (twice) and a $30 food comp (twice).
At the rate I was playing, I tend to think that points accumulate
faster in Tunica, mainly due to the intense competition. Tunica is not
that super for VP, though it's beter than it used to be, but the comps
are as loose as you'll find anywhere. Just down the road at the
Horseshoe and Gold Strike, it's common to get comps for their
excellent buffets simply for buying in for $500 at a table game --
often the floorperson will write one without you even asking.
But you can't find a 3/4-pound hot dog in Tunica! Or Celine Dion!

Well, to be honest I just assumed (bad idea) that all the Harrahs
properties had the same (terrible) cash back policy.
So at the Nevada Harrahs you get ONLY BBC and No cash back??
I will check my cash back on my card here in STL soon and report the
results, I know I had only $6 before my Laughlin trip, and I earned a
huge amount of base points in Laughlin.
