Harrahs Laughlin

We just visited and enjoyed a 1 day trip from Las Vegas. We paid $2 for the
bus trip which included a free lunch buffet at Flamingo Laughlin (bad buffet
though) and fun book (some match plays). Some bus companies run the trip for
free, some for about $7-9 including lunch.

Harrahs didn't have any FP dueces that we found. Saw a Loose Dueces but
probably not full pay, 9/6 JB in 50 cent, perhaps some $1 machines.

Edgewater has a lot of FP dueces/combo machines with 10/7 DB in quarters.

Some of the other casinos also have FP machines.

My advice - take the free nights and play at Edgewater or elsewhere.

Cost of meal comps was very low at some of the casinos, so you should be able
to get your comps at other casinos.

A water taxi goes between casinos for $3 round trip ($2 one way). You can
also walk between the casinos and some are quite close together.

One company offers a day boat trip from Laughlin to Arizona to see the London
Bridge (at Lake Havesau - I'm mispelling that) for about $55.

Laughlin is small with all the casinos in a row.

We also saw a first - Elvis as a clerk cashing coins and encouraging people
to play, and singing - at Edgewater.

Nice change of pace from Vegas. Casinos are smaller and have some older
machines than Vegas.

I've found most of the buffets in Laughlin to be not worth the money, even if you're comped. I went to one breakfast buffet that cost $2 but was downright inedible. Harrah's was OK when I stayed there.
   For a quick bite, try the deli in Pioneer just off the casino floor. For $2-3, they'll make you a sandwich that you have to be real pig to finish it, it's so big.
   I agree with Linda. Take the free nights at Harrah's, give them some minimal play, and take your real bucks elsewhere.

Mixed results on the Flamingo Laughlin coffee shop, which is diner
themed. We both got the T-bone and pasta special. Mine was very good,
but my wife's was lousy (steak was inedible). We got her a shrimp and
pasta special, and that was OK. The buffet there has been redone, but
we haven't eaten there.

The Riverside's breakfast buffet is limited in scope, but everything
we tried was good. Same buffet at dinner is not so good, but is better
than River Palms. We'll eat at the River Palms, the Edgewater, and the
Colorado Belle coffee shops the next time we go there (February).

Agreed, normally, but the last time we stayed at Harrah's, we did very
well at their non-smoking casino. That was a fluke, though.
