Harrahs-Laughlin, what's up

Things are once again in dis-array.

First we should all know by now anything on the floor or bartops that
had 10/7/5 in it is gone.

They are moving the poker room to the corner next to the high limit
room. This basically takes over the "VP Salon". The VP is being
moved to the old poker room area and on the new poker room wall.

This new Poker room is supposed to be floor to ceiling instead of the
half wall.

The coffee shop is now boarded up...Cabo Cafe is scheduled to open in
time for the dreaded "River Run".

Baja Blue and the Buffet take up the slack.

The buffet does a late night thing now.

Baja Blue is promising. They are doing a "Prise Fix" at $9.99 from
5am to 1 pm. You chose from about 8 entries and get to do to very
limited buffet line, drink included.

The omelets are monsters, so are the burgers. I did the one Greek
entre the other day. An egg scramble of Gyro meat-Feta cheese-
tomato-onion on a pita. Side of potato pancakes.

I would pass, compare to the others I saw come out of the kitchen.
My potato cakes were fluffy with an abundance of sour cream flavor.
I thought a potato pancake should be crisy, like a hashbrown?

The limited buffet offers fresh fruit, yogert, small pastries. Also
three marinated salads and some fresh greens and dressings.

They still are trying to figure out how to staff this fairly small
outlet. The F&B supervisor jumped in to deliver food, so they really
are trying.

I didn't see any reference to this late night buffet on Harrah's
Laughlin web site. Do you have any more information on it?

I'm excited to see that the RP has a little competition in this area
now, in this area, but haven't found any more info on it.
