Just returned from a 4 night stay at Harrah's Laughlin. This was on
their offer of free direct charter flight airfare from Seattle & a
room for 2. This is a great way to travel even if you have to pay
the $250 per person - no hassle checking in for the flight; on
arrival at Bullhead City airport you immediately deplane onto buses
which take you directly to Harrah's while your luggage is being
transported seperately from the plane to the hotel and delivered to
your pre-assigned room; on arrival at the Harrah's property you exit
the bus, grab a margarita (or beer, soda, etc) on your way to one of
the tables where you are given an envelope with your room keys, fun
books, etc. When your luggage arrives in your room it is accompanied
by a nice basket of fruit & other goodies and a small box of bakery
goods.
We can confirm that these room &/or charter flight offers are
completely free - you DO NOT have to earn points during the trip to
cover those costs before accumulating point toward food, etc. All of
our past accumulated points PLUS points from this trip were
available to pay for food, purchases in the gift shop (even
cigarettes), etc. We were also able to use coupons we had previously
received for $75 cash, and 2 free buffets X 2.
The Fun Books each contained 2 Cafe and 1 Buffet discount coupons
good for $1 off; 2 GREAT Blackjack coupons offering you 5 for 1 on
any AJ spades Blackjack - keep the coupon FACE DOWN on (repeat ON)
the table while you play and turn it over & present it when you hit
the AJ spades Blackjack. There were also coupons for free entry to
the gym, 25% off logo mdse, 25% off massage, etc.
I was unable to find ANY of the full pay 25 cent or $1 DJ games
(likely MIA) - found 4 quarter machines in the "overlooking pool"
section with DJ type games (called "Double Ace Face" and "Dbl Dbl
Ace Face") but these come in at 95.3% and 97.3% respectively
according to Dancer's VP software analysis. We actually hit the Dbl
Dbl game for 960 coins on a $20 buy-in (Aces for 800 coins) the only
time we played these machines.
All other $1 machine full pay games are still where the FAQ puts
them, and we did not spot any new full pay machines anywhere in the
casino. We did $54,000 coin in without hitting a Royal and left
with -$700, somewhat better than expectation when no Royal is hit.
Bets hits were 2 $1,000 hits on 4 wild dueces.
They have a new Poker Room (small - 5 tables) offering $3-$6 Texas
Hold-Em where I spent a fair amount of time, netting +$480. On day 2
of the trip I actually got a Royal Flush (FLOPPED to boot!) and the
room manager didn't even have a complimentary jacket, sweater, or
whatever in stock to give as an award - says that's all "in the
works" and promised to have 1 for me on my next arrival. We'll see
Looking forward to doing this agin if they keep sending these offers.
