Harrah's Las Vegas properties last quarter play is gone ...
There was something else there that was a lot better. Needless to say,
it got burned down. Which is the Vegas mentality, if you don't burn it
down, someone else will.
I really do avoid the Strip like the Plague. Now, you know why. You
can get maybe two plays in before the situation gets torched, usually
someone with access to a large number (at least 20, maybe even 40)
accounts. It's not worth scouting this market, IMHO. Dancer wrote an
excellent column on scouting on his blog a few weeks ago. I actually
scouted South Strip several months ago, on a Sat night, and found
plays at two of the three casinos I scouted. The one I played lasted
several months, and is now gone.
