Good things happening at Harrah's in Lake Charles. There is now .25
9/6 Jacks at the bar on the 2nd floor of the Star Casino. The bar on
the 3rd floor has .25 9/5 Jacks. There are eleven MG/MD Game Kings in
one bank on the 3rd floor of the Star with 9/6 Jacks, 16/10 NSUD and
9/6 DDB at .25/.50/$. This bank is on your right as soon as you enter
the room. There are a few other scattered machines with 9/6 Jacks
at .25/.50/$, but the dueces are Illinois dueces. Spin poker with 9/5
Jacks at .05/.10/.25. The $ 9/6 Jacks and NSUD are gone from the
Pride Casino, but these machines have just been moved to the 3rd
floor of the Star, and were out of service. I spoke with a slot tech
and he didn't know if they were going to have the same paytables, but
he speculated that they would.
Went over to Isle af Capri to cash some BBC and the 5-cent 50 & 100
plays were still the same with nsud and 9/6 Jacks. Watched a person
playing 50 hands at 4 coins per; another playing 100 hands at 1 coin
per; another playing 50 hands at 1 coin per; and another playing a
100 play machine with 1 hand at 1 coin. That pretty much tied up the
4 playable machines. I see this type of play on the multiplays all of
the time. I can't understand why so many casinos downgrade the
paytables on these multiplays. They have to be super-profitable
because they are played short coin so often.
