Harrah's KC VP

This is in response to "Lucy's" post from yesterday.

I was also at Harrah's yesterday, in the evening. I have no idea what they're trying to accomplish other than going through a 1027-step process to get all the VP in one place in the upper level. Why then did they accumulate a hundred machines near the deli in the lower level for about three weeks?? Who knows.

The good news is that the VP inventory seems to be intact. In fact, I believe I've found the missing "green" quarter Multiplays with AA on them. They are back but were shut off last night. As far as I can tell, this means ALL the quarter AA machines have (so far) survived the reorganization.

The bad news for AA players is that you simply aren't going to qualify for very many Bonus Credits at Harrah's KC anymore. I played for two hours last night, dropped $80 and earned a grand total of two bonus credits. For those of you not familiar with the Harrah's system, that TWO CENTS worth of comps I earned for my trouble. Hoo boy, it's a good thing I brought my 2x Bonus Credit Multiplier Coupon with me, eh! At this rate, if I play for twelve and a half hours, I'll qualifiy for a 25c gumball from the gift shop. A______s.

If they're going to be this way about it, I'll take my AA business to the Isle (KC and Boonville) or maybe Harrah's Prairie Band. Or maybe I'll switch games completely and go to the Ameristar. At least Ameristar feeds you decently.

Great news!

Comps will be your base + bonus credits. So, if you earned 100 base
credits and 2 bonus credits, you earned $1.02 in comps. It's still
only about .1%. When you bring in your multiplier coupon, your comp
rate is then .2%. Still very poor compared to the competition, but
not as bad as you thought.

We went by Harrah's today for our weekly coupon run. 90% of the VP

short pay crap anyway. Its like they are sending a message to VP
players, "We don't want your business. Go away!" So we made a circle
around the area and left.

I was there Monday night. Like you, I didn't play. The only AA machines were at the 1st floor bar and were all taken. I cashed in my coupons, then went to the Isle.

I don't know what's taking them so long to get the machines (re)(re)located and turned back on but I peeked through the curtains saw the AA machines are all still there (some shut off, some not).

It might be my imagination, but I thought I also saw some brand new machines. New machines are good and bad. Good because bill changers and buttons will work. Bad because they will probably be short pay. We'll see. I'll be back next Monday night.
