HARRAH'S HAMMOND

New casino is open. Many VP machines but only about half were operational. There is a $.25
progressive with 10 coin max bet and sequential royal as top prize beginning at $25,000.

I was at the New Shoe in Hammond yesterday. Looked like there was still
a lot of work to do. I didn't even think that half the VP was ready to
go yet but just a guess. I noticed $1 9/6 JoB machines and $1 APDW with
a return of 99.9% I guess. First time I ever saw that game. The Grand
reopening is still set for 8-8-08. The Diamond lounge is still back
where it used to be with a Seven Stars Lounge open already on the new
barge. The new casino is very nice. I would wait to go there. I'll give
it two or three weeks. Much work still to be done.

I am not familiar with the term APDW. Could you give the paytable?
Will be going on 8-8-08 for the grand opening but really to see Bette
Midler. I imagine that it will be so crowded It will be quite
difficult to check out the vp paytables but I will do my best.
Thanks for the info.

I wasn't familiar with it brfore yesterday. I guess it isn't so new
to some of the group veterans.
Here is the pay table 1/2/3/4/4/11/15/25/200/300. The 11 for a
straight flush is what was new to me.

I have been there several times already but didn't find the APDW, although I wasn't looking
for it. Can you give me a hint as to location?
There is going to be a $1,000 minimum $.25 progressive in addition to the previously
mentioned $25,000 minimum progressive. An interesting thing about the $25,000
progressive is that only about half of the machines linked to the progressive were in
service. A patron noticed the paytables at his machine were different from all the others.
Paytables he had never seen before. A slot tech was called over and he pulled up a screen
that gave all the payouts. It was VERY different. After 45 minutes, still no resolution.
Maybe he discovered a misprogrammed 100% plus machine. Dunno. Just make sure to
check the paytables carefully.

We were at the new Horseshoe last week- Tuesday they had dinner and drinks in the steakhouse and a quided tour of the new casino. The steak house remodeling was not complete but the food was good. It appeared that only about one third of the VP
machines were in service.

We went back Thursday for 8X points for VP and played for a
short time. Our points still have not appeared. The Seven Stars lounge was really nice - a good menu and nice decor. We were told the new Diamond Lounge will be located in the old buffet area.

The Grand Opening is on August 8 - they are doing cocktails and
food in the new buffet on the second floor. The Venue entrance is opposite the new buffet.

The best table on the limited number of machines was $ pNSUD.

Time will tell if it is still worth playing there.

The APDW was in a bank of four (two next to each other and then two
more back to back with those). As you are going to the back (where
most of the VP) is, they will be on the right side. I could only
check the pay table on the one machine as another one was being
played and the other two weren't operational. The $1 9/6 JoB are just
before you get the the ones against the back back wall. Those were
more to the left as you go into the VP area. I believe in a bank of
8.Sorry for bad scouting job. I wasn't very prepared for all the new
machines in there. I will get better information in a couple of weeks
when the dust from the reopening clears. If someone doesn't beat me
to it.
