Harrahs, Flamingo VP Jacks

A third of their customers are from Southern California which has 26 or so
indian casinos. An instructive lesson would be AC which started to decline
well before PA welcomed gambling. What actions like this will do is
accelerate the migration from gambling in LV to gambling in SoCal. LV wants
customers who want an "experience" & the initial visitors want the same thing.
But when they become "experienced", they learn that they have a better
alternative much closer to home which is good because CA needs to keep business
at home to help cover its deficit.

It is very sad. The Harrahs (now Caesars) execs cry about the low play
they are getting these days yet they continue to downgrade their machines so
players can't get a decent pay. You can be sure if they are downgrading VP
they are lowering payback on many other slots as well.

If cal did not spend so much there would be no deficit
