Harrah's East Chicago

If you wish to play 25c multi-line games, you might try the White Hot Aces at Harrah's (It looks like they are going to have a $1 version shortly.). It is similar to 9-5 DDB but the higher 400 coin SF and quad 2, 3 or 4 is a straight 600 coins (average DDB about 509) and quad aces at 1200 (average DDB about 1106). These differences bring the game to 99.57% vs 98.98% for DDB. Majestic and Trump still have $1 Triple Play Plus which is the same as White Hot Aces except the SF pays 500 coins rather than 400 (99.8%). Harrah's Joliet still has $1 9-6 DDB with a 0.8% feed rate progressive. Note: I have found two 25c 9-6 DDB (and 9-7 DB) in that bank at Harrah's. Two other machines were out of service so I do not know if either of those have it.

On a much more disturbing note at Harrah's E. Chicago: The downstairs 25c progressive has had it's paytables gutted. BP now 6-5 instead of 7-5, DDB now 7-5 instead of 9-5 and DB is now 8-5-4 instead of 9-6-5. I think the bonus deuces is unchanged as I noticed the SF was still 10. (It is possible that the flush dropped from 3 to 2 so if someone notices that, please let us know.)

Also three $5 single line at the entrance to the table games room. These have not been opened up yet but the games are horrible
12-10 deuces (16-10 is NSU), 9-5 DDB, 9-5 TDB, 8-5 Jacks. Some of the games indicated a suited royal meaning that progressives would be running for each of the suits.

Thanks for the info. You're quite right about better plays if your're
refering to the percentage. DDB frequently doesn't even show up in
the listings for casinos. My problem is that I can't bring myself to
play games like JOB which I find about as interesting as watching
grass grow. The 98.7% isn't really that bad and having hit A-A-A-A-2
last nite on a $.5 TITO machine I think I'll stay loyal a bit
longer. I have tried some low variance games, but get very
anxious when I fall behind because I know the pay table doesn't have
the big hits that allow you to quickly catch up. 'Guess I'm just too
comfortable with DDB. One of my friends has had some success with
multi-draw BP at Majestic. Supposedly that's over 99%. Maybe I'll
take a stab at it some time.

This in in the third floor table games room. My reply below

includes the machine number (KC0205 3070) that I played. It is about
three or four machines to the left of the 25c triple play with 9-6
jacks and NSU deuces (KC0211 3362). That 9-6-4 DDB machine used to be
on the opposite wall in the same room. I only played that game
because the downstairs room was closed. I do not know if the other
two machines are still there. I rarely play 9-6-4 DDB anymore as much
better plays are available. Still Majestic Star has a much better VP
selection. (I have been playing DB2s on Multi-Strike at Majestic Star
which in a 99.96% game. I have been carrying charts for it with me
since I certainly do not know all four strategy levels perfectly.)

Where are the 25c 9-6-4 DDB machines hidden? On my last visit to
Harrah's in November I scoured the entire place for full pay DDB

and

found only a single $1 machine for DDB. I've been playing

exclusively

at Majestic since. > > --- In vpFREE_Chicago@yahoogroups.com, "Howard Stern" > <howard.w.stern@e...> wrote:

will check but I suspect that the last 4 digits of the triple play
will be 3362. The BP progressive was about $2250 at 2:30 PM today
when I left. Two weeks earlier the same progressive was at $2349

when

my mother nailed it.

Thanks. This is what they had before they relocated the machines. They must have been occupied by players playing inferior games when I was there last.

Bummer. Those games could be a fun lowroller play.

Received my Majestic Star mailer today and they describe their new Players Card program to begin in March. The new program has 3 tiers. The top level card (Super Star) requires 10,000 points annually. The second tier (Star) requires 4000 points. There will be same day cash back in addition to mailed cash rewards. I guess this means bonus cash will be continued in some form. $5 coin in per point for slots and $10 for vp. 500 (5K coin in for vp) points gets you $5. This makes the new CB rate .1%.
