Went to the Diamond Lounge at Caesar's this week.
Get over there quick gang - they've got cocktail pretzels! Free!!!
Truly embarassing and worthless. Cheap bar "food" - pretzels,
pistachio nuts, some horrible walnut halves with a repulsive coating
of who knows what.
There were two bowls of what I guess is supposed to be hummus and
tahini, and cut up pieces of pita which were the worst I've ever
tasted.
Some other junk available, but nothing I'd touch.
No fresh fruit, my former mainstay.
I thought they'd eliminated desserts altogether, but they are
actually in a tiny alcove to the left of the usual buffet area.
2 or maybe 3 small bowls with teensy cookies, some mini mini slices
of brownies. No plates - don't want to encourage people to take more
than 1 square inch piece of brownie.
Just awful.
And the lounge was as empty as I've ever seen it - and on a weekend
evening during the Final Four weekend.
The beancounters will have success for the 1st 6 months of the
takeover - "Look at all of the food and labor costs we've cut".
The customer loss takes longer to show up on the balance sheets.
