Harrahs diamond card for Greektown Pantheon card

On Saturday, we showed our diamond card and got the Pantheon card from Greektown. The person at the desk told us we would receive a free hotel night, $75 in comps, $100 in free play. None of that was ready to go when we signed up even though the promo was already over a week old.

What's with Greektown and screwing up promotions? How hard is it to load free play on a card? How hard is it to add to you comp account? How hard is it to give a voucher for a free hotel night?

They didn't explain the confusing free drink policy. I think if you are playing in the high limit area at machines and tables, your drinks are free. No explanation of what drinks are free or what happens if you order a drink while playing at the 'commoner' machines.

Greektown, if you want. I will consult for your next promotion. My rates are reasonable and I guarantee the response from customers willl be better.

Will they give you anything for a Harrah's platinum card, do you think?

GT will comp any drink while you are playing in the high limit room, no questions asked. I have gotten Macallan scotch, Drambuie Rusty Nails, B&Bs, and Glenfiddich scotch. Very tasty.

My game of choice there is $25 minimum blackjack but lately they have been setting the minimums at $50 which I don't care for.

Drinks outside the h-l room run from $2-3 (beer) to $5-7 (cocktails).

Could anyone here shed a little light on what it might take to qualify for a Greektown Gold card based on coin-in (on VP) alone?

Under the old management advisers, things were pretty much "don't/won't tell", and I'm not sure how much the Isle of Capri folks have instructed the staff to share or not. But I was curious as to what it really takes to "be somebody" around Greektown.

I have heard the play requirements are huge. I'm guessing in the $250K for 6 month range.

I like the drink policy. If I play $2 JOB at the bar, I can get hammered on 18 year old scotch? Sounds like playing 1 coin at a time slowly ( 400 hands per hour) will cost me about $15 on average. 2 scotches and I am ahead.

Johnny--
You don't even need to play. As a Pantheon card holder, your drinks are free anywhere on the casino floor. Just show your card. So sit down at a $.01 slot machine and get hammered for just the cost of tips.

BTW, they don't have 18-yr. old scotch, just the regular 10-yr. old. Even then, they are sometimes out, and I get Glenfiddich. But when they have the Macallan...oh man, is that sweet.

For those of us non-premium card holders, your best drinking strategy is blackjack. (They don't have good JOB in the high limit room, and you lose less playing BJ regardless).

You mention not needing to play for free drinks with a P club card. So, I can wander up to one of the bars and just order a drink? Wow.

Wonder what happens if I ask for a Louis XIII?
