Harrahs Diamond/7 Star changes

I've confirmed with a host, as of April 1, there will no longer be free or
2:1 show tickets for Diamond and 7 Star members in Las Vegas. This is a
big cut in benefits, and sort of stupid, because the number of freebies was
small, but did get us into Harrahs/Caesars casinos. I just went with my
sister because of a free show (the excellent Human Nature) and played too.

Also as of April 1 you can convert Total Reward credits on 2:1 basis at any
casino any day to free play.

My host said they were "adding" benefits, such as the new TR Insider
offers. To me this is no biggie. If you play 10,000 points within a certain
period (maybe a quarter?), you get these TR Insider offers from the casino
where you played. But so far my offers have just been for things like more
slot tournaments, stuff I already was getting, maybe more tournaments, but
nothing to make me go to a casino thousands of miles away.

We've already been playing less due to lower offers at Caesars properties
such as Nola and Vegas, so now will play even less. In Vegas maybe I'll
start playing at Wynn or Bellagio again.

The current Total Rewards VP rate is 0.1% as comps. Are you saying the new free play rate will be 0.05% or 0.2%?

Sadly – .05%

Actually the comp rate has varied in the past. Many restaurants were on the 2:1 ratio – .05%!!!!!

Could you elaborate on this? Which restaurants? Do you mean they were charging double points per dollar for the bill?

Thanks

There are too many to list – many in AC and New Orleans I know for sure as this has been discussed at length here on this forum. Perhaps in other places – I don’t know. Perhaps Total Rewards players from other areas could chime in here. But be aware that this is the sort of thing that can change so any “list” now might be out of date pretty quickly.

<<Do you mean they were charging double points per dollar for the bill?>>

That is right.
