Harrahs considers higher level card

More importantly -- why would you go play at a casino if you know
the games aren't good there?

The answer in Atlantic City used to be "Because if I'm going to
have to play short-pay, I might as well be treated decently."
Which is why many of us probably went to Harrah's, myself
included.

However, not only did Harrah's stop treating its good customers
well...
there's also lots of good VP in town all of a sudden, and most of
it is at casinos where you'll get treated VERY well, namely the
Borgata and Ceasars/Ballys.

So... why would anyone go play VP at Harrah's AC anymore, anyway?
Doesn't make any sense to me.

(I know that the AC Showboat(owned by Harrahs) doesn't have any
FullPay JoB(and I doubt they have any FullPay VP at all, tho I don't
know for sure beyond JoB), but I thought that Harrahs AC had 9/6 JoB?)

While I fully agree with everything John wrote above, I
must "confess" that I'll be playing VP @AC Showboat tomorrow.

Believe me; I'd MUCH rather go to Borgata - especially since I
haven't yet been there(!), but we'll be going to AC on a bus trip
(only giving us about 6 hrs @AC), Showboat is giving me $10 and a
FREE FQB dinner for TWO(which will take up close to 1/3 of our time),
so it'd be "borderline impractical" to take a jitney over to the
Marina, then back again before bus-departure time(and I'd HATE to
miss the return-trip bus!).

Believe me, I've more than had it with Showboat/Harrah's "Total
RIPOFF" program - and I'm "only" Platinum there, so I haven't been
hosed anywhere near as much as most of the other anti-Harrahs gripers
here. I also CAN'T WAIT to go check out the Borgata for my first time
(and second, and third, and...).

But, unfortunately, the situation for tomorrow's AC trip being what
it is means that our "maiden trip to Borgata" will have to wait.
Probably until our next overnight --- which has about a 50/50 chance
of being at Showboat(unless it's at Resorts; the only 2 places in AC
we currently get room-comp offers from)!

So, as for "Why would anyone(who knows better) continue to play at
Harrahs/Showboat?" My only answer is that - sometimes at least,
circumstances "conspire against us", and we're all-but "forced" to.

Unless you're being tied up and marched onto that bus at gunpoint... I don't
see how you're being "forced" to take a bus trip to Showboat. I'm sure you
can find bus offers to Ceasar's/Ballys, if you looked, and could get similar
offers from those properties.

Just say "No." Ride the bus to Showboat and at least go next door to
Resorts to play!
