Harrahs Ak chin has been remodeled. They now have a new poker
room without any slot machines. The old poker room has been
converted into a "High Limit" room with mostly slots. The new
room has a few uprights with $5 9/6 JoB and a $2 progressive that
can get positive. I think everything else is short pay. I will
double check for the specific two you mentioned on September 10th.
Yes, they certainly will have RC multiplier days in the future.
You just will not see many days as high as 10x in the future.
Maricopa is a boom town. It is growing from less than a 1,000
people to over 200,000 this decade. The only hotel rooms are
still in the casino, but they are modern and nicely decorated.
Other than gambling, you just have the pool, a local golf course
and some new restaurants in town (not within walking distance).
More businesses are openning every month in town. You are about
20 miles from anything else, but easy traveling distance to
unlimted golf, other forms of entertainment and shopping with
use of a car. Actually, the nearest entertainment from town is
another indian casino. There is no video poker worth playing at
the Gila River Wild Horse Pass Casino, but it has a great
Shearton Resort with 2 top of the line golf courses. The Phoenix
airport is about 35 miles away. Downtown Phoenix is about 40
miles, downtown Tempe (Arizona State University) is about 30
miles, and downtown Scottsdale is about 45 miles.

No $1 9-7 DB or 8-5 Bonus 3/5-play in the poker room?
I'll bet there are RC multiplier days in the future, it's not a bad
property, but lots of competition and kind of a hike for most in the
Phoenix area. Maricopa is not exactly as glamourous as Scottsdale,
either.
