I was told the same thing. Before leaving Harrah's LV I went up to the TR window and was told I'd receive this fabulous check in the mail.
They did say that this was the policy only for LV and that other properties could set their own cb rate. In addition to the 2X points, I always receive bonus days $100 cb coupons from AC.
