Harrahs cashback

At Harrahs (or Rio) Las Vegas cashback requires 4500 total points to get a
bounceback check of $10. Those points must be accumulated in 1 month. If you
accumulate 2000 points in June and 2500 points in July you get zip.
Cashback checks are good for at least 6 months.

Other casinos may give different sorts of cashback. For example when I
visited New Orleans the bounceback check I received had to be redeemed in about a
month or it was void. For Lake Tahoe I got a bounceback check of some sort,
but then for months afterwards continued to get other cashback checks of a
lesser amount. These all expired within about 1 month.

You cannot cash your checks just anywhere. For example cashback at Las
Vegas or Laughlin can be cashed any of those locations. Tahoe cash can only be
cashed at Tahoe or Reno. New Orleans cash can be cashed there or at a couple
of other casinos in the South (Tunica is one I believe).

Ask your local casino about their cashback policies.

Also some Harrahs issue 2X or 3X point coupons. Vegas never does.

Sounds like the various locations have quite a bit of
discretion on their policies. I'm glad I never played
at Harrah's LV or Rio because it doesn't sound like I
would have gotten much out of them at my level of
play.

Regarding multiple points days, Harrah's KC has had
"7x Wednesdays" for the past 6 weeks. 2-3 times a
year, they also have a "double any hand pay jackpot,
up to $250" promotion. That makes AA, with it's
frequent straight flushes (about every 7K hands) a
pretty attractive game.

Very true and something to remember when you see information posted about one Hurrahs location. They are famous for having one of the most complex marketing systems in the universe. Not only does one casino differ from another - but different players have different profiles at each casino - and I think I read that they put in about 50 pieces of information in the mix - if not that many at least a lot.

Don't quote me on this - but I have found - at least in Vegas - that you have to play only about every other time you use one of their offers. We have been doing this for a couple of years and the super offers still flood our mailbox. Not sure about whether daily average is crucial - we always play big on ONE day during an event rather than smaller play on 2 or 3 days. That MIGHT be a key factor - or maybe not. Who knows with Hurrahs!!!!

This information is quite useful, I play at 4 Harrah's throughout the
year, and have had a difficult time trying to figure out the optimal
amount of play per comp level.

I would like to encourage other members to post similar information.
I have found vegas room comps to be particularly vexing. I find that
I get free weekday room offers, with some cash and food, for
relatively modest play, but have gotten zero offers from the Palms
with higher levels of play!

Room comps at the Palms will not be easier to get until their new tower is finished. They can easily fill up the rooms now with paying customers and comped rooms for "whales" - or at least extremely high-level players.

It pays to look at comps from a casino's point of view - a profit-making business. Business is so good in Vegas that I am not surprised that room comps are getting harder to obtain. Medium-level players (let's say $1 play) - and especially lower-limit quarter players (unless you have 2 people playing quarters 8 hours a day) - will have to go down a tier or two on the luxury scale to get room comps easier. Remember what I have always said - you are recognized more if you are the biggest frog in a little pond!

The database is a good place to start when curious about comp requirements.
Harrah's LV can be extremely generous with room offers for tourists, but
demographics play a large part in them. Palms on the other hand doesn't
send much to the average tourist. Why give away rooms when you are booked
solid with paying California hipsters?
