Last I checked Harrahs.com, the comps that I had earned at Caesars
Las Vegas in 2005 hadn't been added to my balance. (I had a balance
of ~$150 from play at Harrahs Reno, and ~$200 from Caesars and Ballys
LV from before they were just Harrahfied.) So, as wise people on the
Yahoo groups have advised, I used that site to email customer service
for satisfaction. I received the following response:
Thank you for contacting Caesars Palace. Our records show that all
of your comps have been transferred into your Total Reward's
Account.
You currently have a Reward Credit Balance of 35175 ($351). Please
allow 72 hours before you see this update through our website. I
apologize for any confusion. We hope to see you again soon.
Funny how they say "our records show..." as if they had been right
all along & I'm just missing something. In fact, the site had been
showing only my $150, & even as I speak doesn't reflect the $351
total. But I'm optimistic that after waiting the 72 hours all will be
well. Who knows what would have happened otherwise, but it looks like
emailing customer service like this was a good idea.
(I'm doing this because I believe I can swap these comps for a
$250 "gift card" on the Harrahs site. This seems like a good idea, as
I'm tend to play enough to get my room/food comped as I go anyway.
