Harrah's AC 9/6 JOB

Hi Gang:
Hedy and I stayed two nights at Harrah's AC this weekend and can confirm
that the pay tables on the five multi-game machines near the Xhibition Bar have
been changed. The former 9/6 JOB is now 7/5 and the former 9/6/4 DDB is now
7/5/4. The DB paytable remains 9/6/4.
However, as reported, we found the pod of three machines very close to this
bank that have 9/6 JOB and 9/6 DDB. We believe they are new ... or at least
we never noticed them before.
An interesting note is that two of the three have denoms of quarter, half,
dollar and two dollars, while the third has just quarter, half and dollar. The
four one-dollar and two-dollar machines in the Diamond Cove with 9/6 JOB
were unchanged, although they are in a smoking section.
Before we discovered the three new ones, we spoke to a slots shift manager
in the morning on Saturday and expressed our displeasure about the casino
changing the pay tables. We explained to him that Showboat had done the same
thing then reinstated a pod of eight machines when many people protested.
He pointed out that Harrah's new general manager is also the GM at Showboat
(he's overseeing both properties) and he had to sign off on that decision at
the Boat, so why wouldn't he do the same at Harrah's. He said he would relay
our feelings to the GM and let us know what he said.
He seemed sympathetic to our pleas, especially when we told him that the
Borgata is adding to its 9/6 inventory. We told him we loved the Harrah's
property but would take our business to the Borgata if 9/6 JOB was not available
and many other Seven Stars and Diamond players would probably do the same. We
spoke to him right at the bank of machines in question and they were all
vacant on a Friday morning when they would otherwise be packed with players.
We'll see if anything comes of our conversation.
By the way, our sizzling start to 2009 came to a screeching halt as we got
hammered all three days we played at Harrah's despite another royal by Hedy
(for 1G this time) while we were playing a triple-line "carnival game" near the
X-Bar. Fortunately, we're still comfortably ahead for the year as we head
into our five-day junket to Laughlin this Friday.
Regards,
CoachVee & Hedy

Hi Coach,
Thanks for letting them know how the players feel. We will do the
same when we return from Florida later this month if nothing has
changed. We enjoy Harrah's Diamond Club, mostly because of the
employees, but we cannot deal with the lower pay tables or reduced
availability of machines. (pun intended)

Hi Thanks for posting the ongoing changes at Harrah's AC. I will be there at the end of the month and I am very interested in all changes to the VP inventory and the "fixes" they are making. I was glad to see the 9/6 DDB on the machines that were new (or you had not noticed before)at the quarter to two dollar level. Hope they are still there in three weeks.
