Harrah's 1-for-1 conversion

Hi gang:
We were speaking to our host today and he told us that this Sunday, July
26, Harrah's AC is offering a 1-for-1 conversion of rewards credits to "slot
dollars." I hadn't seen any mail on this or any info on the Harrah's
website but he swore it was a fact.
The catch, of course, is that the coupons/slot dollars must be played
through a machine. The money just can't be cashed at the cage or downloaded in
a machine and immediately cashed out. Our host said the coupons/slot
dollars were limited to $2,000 per day and were good for one week.
He didn't say if this was happening at other Harrah's casinos in AC or if
it was being offered for more than one day. He also said it was available
to all cardholders ... gold, platinum, diamond and Seven Stars.
This is also a forerunner to the elimination of cashback at all Harrah's
casinos in AC. Soon, any cashback earned will be in the form of slot dollars
that must be played through. Our host said this transition will be
happening soon and will put Harrah's in line with all the other casinos (Borgata!)
in town.
Anyway, we thought people on this board might be interested. We know a
number of folks who have thousands of dollars in their Harrah's comp accounts.

I received a mail today from the Grand in Biloxi which states they are
offering a 1-1 conversion of RCs to free slot play every Wednesday in
September (2, 9, 16, 23 and 30). Unclear if this is open to everyone or
if it will only be an option to those who got the post card in the mail.
Limit of 250,000 RC redemption. You can also use the 2-1 option if you
want it as cash. Same limit of 250,000 RC redemption applies.

There are also multiple 10X multiplier days in September (8, 14, 22 and
28). They fall relatively close to the 1-1 conversion days, but you
normally won't see the 10X bonus for several days after you play so not
a good option if you want to rack up a bunch of points and immediately
get a 1% return in free play the very next day.
