A couple of notes here:
1. This is a VP group so the fact that Harrah's E. Chicago just put in
8-25c single line VP games with "Full Pay" games bringing their total to
eight compares to the
Majestic Star that just added seven more games bringing their total of
"Full Pay" machines to about 175. Trump has about 110 "Full Pay" games.
This is probably the important info on payback. (Comps, specific games etc.
make the Majestic Star better than Trump.)
2. As to the comment that Harrah's makes more than anybody in the Chicago
Area is true as they own a casino in Joliet IL and I think are still in the
process of acquiring the Horseshoe in Hammond. Because of the IN state
laws, I understand that they will probably sell the E. Chicago property.
The single casino that makes the most money in the Chicago Area is the
Grand Victoria in Elgin IL. (The Horseshoe had one month this year in which
they just beat them out.) The Grand Victoria is limited to 1200 gaming
positions by IL law compared to about 2000 at the Horseshoe. Both the Grand
Victoria and the Horseshoe tend to cater to the $1 and up slot player. Just
to tell you how big the profit is, the Grand Victoria averages about $32MM
gross win per month with only 1200 gaming positions. Most Vegas Strip
casinos do worse!

Their slots were much looser.
If you want to stay at Harrahs just for someplace to sleep its fine. If
you
want to gamble and have atleast a little luck go to the other two.
I spoke to one of the employees and he agreed with me. He of course,

How far from downtown Chicago is Harrah's? Is it in Illinois or Indiana?
