I actually had the Hard Rock charge my credit card once when, I
swear, I did nothing more than contact them and ask what their room
rates were for certain dates. I ended up staying at the Rio, but the
HR charged my card for a room!
It escapes me how they got my card number, I think from a previous
stay, but it was pretty bizarre for this to happen.
I contacted someone there in marketing and he agreed to remove the
charges. I'm not sure he really believed me though that I had called
only to ask what they could do for me and had never made a

I've been trying for quite a while to get a charge removed for a comped stay
back in Nov 2002. No luck. About ready to give up. Should have stopped
payment when but their actg dept assured me that it's ok to pay & credit would be
coming through next month.
