Greetings from Las Vegas, Home of Positive ER Video Poker:
When we finished playing at the Hard Rock on Friday 21 March,
I had a balance of 59 points in my "Back Stage Pass" account
and SWMBO had 42 points. She cashed her points in for $42,
and I was going to cash mine in also, but didn't because the line
got pretty long before I got there.
Today we returned to get our weekly bounce back free-play cash,
and I asked for my $59 cash back. They gave me a check for $37,
explaining that they had been over-crediting points on some machines
and that a systemwide adjustment had been made on Monday.
The booth reps were sympathetic, said they were getting a lot of flak
from customers and referred me to Rosie Fuentes, Slot Marketing
Manager. Ms. Fuentes confirmed what I had been told at the booth,
and said that I wouldn't get my $22 back. She said that if I had
cashed my points before Monday I would have been OK, and that they
weren't running negative balances on anyone.
FWIW, I am now in the process of filing a complaint with Gaming,
which is a first for me. I talked with Gaming today and learned that
I have four filing options:
1. Call Gaming (486-2020 24/7) while at the Hard Rock, and they will
send an agent over to resolve the complaint in real time.
2. File a complaint in person at their Las Vegas office.
3. File a complaint via snail mail.
4. File a complaint via Email - <liaison@gcb.state.nv.us>
I'm in the process of doing #4, but am still considering #1,
