Hard Rock LV

It appears the lone 9/6 JB machine has been removed.

We have stayed at the Atlantis several times over the last few years. The offers in the past were always specific, free suite, $300 day food and $1500 in Free Play.

This time the offer said to call your host and let us customize a vacation just for you. I e-mailed Marshall and asked him what he could do. He e-mailed back saying "the same as last time the suite and he would take care of dinners."

When I received my bill at the hotel it had all food charges. I went to VIP services, No Luck. I e-mailed Marshall and his comment was that I did not play enough so there would be no comps above the room. I said that I expected him to keep his word but that didn't matter.

In fairness to Marshall, I did gamble less this trip than on previous trips. I played about 50K /day and lost a decent amount of money.

So,I tried disputing the charges with the credit card company but since he only said that he would take care of it and not comp the food charges, I lost the dispute. The interpretation on "take car of it" was make the reservation. I have a feeling the sleazeball knew that and worded his e-mail very carefully.

Now we have had 4 very nice vacations at the Atlantis, ate great meals and love their pools and water rides. This is just a note to make sure you get a detailed up front note of what will be comped especially when visiting the Atlantis in the Bahamas.

By the way the best machines were 8/5 JOB (reduced from 9/5) and 8/5 DDB

Hi,

How can you continue to dispute it once it's declined?

In the future, I will make sure the host uses the word 'comp' and doesn't just say they will take care of it.

I'm shocked that you would dispute this through your credit card company and not try to move up the corporate ladder on this. If you're playing 50K/day at a property, they will bend over backwards to make sure you don't take your play elsewhere. I had a similar situation on my annual seven stars trip a few years ago at Caesars in Vegas where I was charged for my $500 meal. I couldn't get a host or anyone in total rewards to fix it so I just emailed the head of total rewards VIP services and wow did they give me the world to keep my play. All you have to do is tell someone with enough horsepower that if you don't get satisfaction you're taking yor gaming elsewhere and they'll respond. If they don't, then TAKE you gaming elsewhere!

How can you continue to dispute it once it's declined?

You call back the credit-card company and say, "I'm going to continue to dispute this charge."

Cogno

> How can you continue to dispute it once it's declined?

The first dispute should be directly with the merchant. When that
fails, filing a dispute with the card issuer is the next step. If the
outcome is not in your favor your next step is to seek arbitration
through VISA/MC/AMEX. The loser of the arbitration pays the
arbitration fees. Other options instead of arbitration include: the
BBB, the State Attorney General, or a lawyer.

Good idea except it is difficult to find names and contact info for senior management of the Atlanits or Kerzner Int'l.

I have heard some horror stories about the Atlantis. I know that Steve Cyr is a host who works with the Atlantis. If you play at the Hard Rock in Vegas, try talking to him. I'm a small player and when I ran into him at the Hard Rock, he said he could always comp me a room there.

There is nothing surprising about the Atlantis failing to horor their commitment.

In my experience, Atlantis is home to overpriced rooms, overpriced food, overpriced drinks, overpriced recreation opportunities and the WORST attitude of employees that I have ever experienced. It seems that the general attitude of the staff is that they are doing you a favor for allowing you to visit.

In addition, the gaming opportunities are among the worst anywhere.

Please do not confuse the Atlantis in the Bahamas with the Atlantis in Reno. There is no connection between the two.
