Almost all of the remaining 9/6 JoB at the Hard Rock Las Vegas
have been downgraded. A couple of machines still have it in
$10/$25/$50 single-line, but they require $6 coin-in to earn a
point instead of $2, and free play cannot be redeemed on them.
Hard Rock Las Vegas Update
I was just in the Hard Rock on Sunday and all the 9/6 JoB in the Fender room had been downgraded to 9/5. I was told by Richie Walkus, slot floor supervisor, that they were burned during their AMEX gift card promotion. During that promotion the 9/6 JoB machines were played 24 hrs a day during the promotion. He also told me he that he had to "back off" a video poker columnist from the property.
