to the group (if there is anyone left). Anyone know a Michigan casino with Ultimate X and decent paytables. My 2015 gaming was quite nasty. Here’s hoping a prosperous new year to all.
Happy New Year
It’s too bad with all the gamblers in Michigan there isn’t anything to talk about, but with the VP paytables around you are almost better off with slots, which is pretty sad. Too bad struggling casino’s like Caesars Windsor or Greektown don’t try to be different and put in good paytables.

Dan Gilbert doesn’t have to. He controls almost half of Detroit.

And don’t forget about us in Cleveland. He owns the casino and the racino plus the Cavs.

Actually, with the tax situation what it is, I’m surprised the VP is as good as it is. The Detroit casinos pay federal and state tax plus a huge tax to the city of Detroit. It’s some ridiculous number ( 25%) so for them to actually make any money, they can’t offer any really good VP games.
Greektown has spent a ton on appearance. I wish they would teach their slot club people how the promotions work, fix the bill readers and broken down machines and get slot club software. What they run currently is from the mid 90’s and it shows.
As for Gilbert owning half of Detroit, I think Ilitch and Moroun would disagree with that. And Dan bought up a bunch of abandoned buildings and made them into something. Nothing wrong with that.
Finally, Greektown still has the best video poker offering of the 4 local casinos but MGM and Motor City have people playing their bad VP offerings. If you were a gas station selling gas for $1.80 a gallon and the station across the street was charging $2.20 a gallon and getting a lot of customers, don’t you think you would raise your price, at least some? I’m surprised Greektown hasn’t dropped to the MGM/Motor City level of VP offerings.
