Happy Holidays!

Hi Gang:
First, Hedy and I would like to wish everyone on these boards a Merry
Christmas, Happy Hanukah or a very merry whatever you may be celebrating this
joyous time of year. And we hope that the New Year will bring an avalanche
of royals to all.
Our holiday season finally had a little joy added to it this past weekend
at Harrah's AC after a string of deflating, sizable losses since our
comeback following my second hip replacement surgery. As we all know, living in
the world of 9/6 DDB can be a real roller-coaster ride and it seemed that
our car was only traveling through the dips recently. Even Hedy's 4K royal
two weeks ago wasn't enough to boost us up out of the abyss, but that all
came to an end last Saturday.
After getting beat up again on Friday both at Harrah's and the Borgata,
Hedy and I settled in Saturday morning after breakfast at our favorite
carousel of machines near the Total Rewards Center. I started the day off with
ducks and a kicker for $800, but Hedy was the one who soon found herself on
one of those infamous "machines on drugs."
She began with 3's and 4's without a kicker for $400 each, then about an
hour later was dealt three aces. She needed the ace of clubs and, with the
two of us chanting for its appearance, there it was, accompanied by a
beautiful, little trey for a 2K hand pay. This was a much-needed hit but,
thankfully, Hedy was just warming up. Over the next couple of hours, she followed
that up with 2's, 3's and 4's ... all with kickers ... for another $2,400
worth of hits, with a number of other $250 quads interspersed along the way.
When all was said and done, we had wiped out our Friday loss and finished
the weekend with our biggest profit since our return to the "casino wars."
We gave out all our holiday gifts to the Harrah's personnel who have been
wonderful to us during the year and drove home Sunday morning with smiles
on our faces and a renewed belief that slumps really do turn around.
We'll be back at Harrah's for the New Year's celebration in two weeks and
then will be looking forward to an NCL cruise aboard the Epic out of Miami
on Jan. 22.
Regards,
CoachVee & Hedy

Coach Vee my wife and I just returned from one week on the Crown Princess
with the worst video I have ever seen over all, so I played the progressive
.50 since it was at $3700.I did not hit but was able to hit a $2,000 royal
on another bank so only lost about $1,500 for the trip. We then went down to
Miami and got on the Epic, the video was much better played 9/6 DB most of
the time but was not able to hit anything and lost about $3,000 over the 7
days of the cruise. Email if you want more detailed info. Good Luck and
Merry Christmas.

Thank you,

My wife and I will also be on the Harrah's cruise on the Epic Jan 22. Despite bad pay tables on cruise ships, she has had decent luck on a few cruises, including one where we both hit royals.
