I would like to nominate Albert Pearson to the VP Hall of Fame. He
is always there to answer questions and is extremely knowlegeable
about VP. I have learned quite a bit from his posts and he is truly
a nice guy even if he is a Canadian.<G>

Hmm, make that 2 person fan club, Albert is one of the most

two exceptions on the current roster of nominees, all I see are egos.

Hmmm ... Bob, I think the "ego" comment may be unduly harsh.
When I look at the contributions of the current slate of nominees I
find them to be a relatively modest and selfless bunch relative to
their contributions.
The only person who might be singled out as an aggressive self
promoter is Bob Dancer. But I find that difficult to fault in and of
itself. On the education front he's been a prolific contributor and
by several accounts he's generous with his time to those endeavoring
to get the most out of their play -- both collectively and
individually. While he makes no bones about his expertise and skill,
he's quick to acknowledge the merits of others.
Last year a vote for Dan Paymar was a no-brainer for me. It's going
to be a tough choice this year. I may have exposed an initial leaning
here, but I can't help to feel that our Administrator has done the
same in his summary of candidates -- although I'm sure he'd claim
neutrality 
In any case, the selected slate represents a fine representation of
those souls who've empowered all of us in pursuit of intelligent play.

Harry I appreciate what you are saying but I am looking at it a bit differently. I will agree with you that many of the people listed have done much to advance VP and the correct way to play. I go back several years on these boards before Tom started this board and have met a number of the nominees listed over the years. In the beginning I would have to agree with you, but as they prospered, so did their egos and greed. I will not go any further with this because I know Tom would not like what I really think of some of the nominees and some of the stories I could tell.
I also think Tom is an exception. As this site has prospered and grown to be the largest and best VP board in cyber land, Tom has remained Tom, and he has not tried to profit from it. My hat is off to him because I am not sure I could do it. I have not always agreed with some decisions Tom has made as to some discussions being banished to FREE-VP-FREE, but I understand why he does it and that is his choice. I can live with it. I would vote for him as a first choice if his name were listed.

I'd like to see AP's name on the list too. He will answer any of my
questions and if he doesn't know, he gets the answer as he's a much
better googler than me.
Make that 4 - A.P. is, in my mind, the most universally respected citizen of cyberspace there is. Knowledgeable, helpful, and around forever - I think A.P. was dispensing VP wisdom before I figured out how to plug in my first modem...what's it been - eight years now?

Maybe the administrator could have a "members" HOF or "member of the
year award," or some other way to recognize those who have been so
helpful, like AP. He's definitely tops in my book too!
