After reading reports on this site and others about the so-called
garage casino at Caesars, I was eager to go there and see things for
myself, as during my last visit, almost all of the machines in that
section had been Out of Service.
So I drove over to Caesars Thursday night, arriving in the deck at
8:10PM. Walked into the casino and thought I was in heaven; except
for a carousel of slots as I first walked in, there were VP machines
everywhere.
Started off on a slant top that had quarter 9/6 JOB. And that's all
I played for the next 90 minutes. Regardless of what the faceplate
said, I played JOB. In reality, all of the machines should be Game
Kings, but maybe Harrahs like the variety of faceplates that say
Aces and Faces, or Super Bonus Deuces Wild.
A waitress arrived within a few minutes and I ordered a Hurricane,
which turned out to be literally the best one I have ever had. I was
quickly in the zone and was impressed that every machine I played
had fabulous sound.
It got to the point I was overcome by joy, so I requested a floor
supervisor, who arrived within a few minutes. I told her the only
reason I had requested her was to tell her how impressed I was by
the whole VP area, and I don't say that lightly.
So there you have it. Harrahs gets bashed frequently, but for the
moment, they hit the bullseye with this local player.
