Haha, I was "kindly" asked to not play...

I went to Reno this weekend to collect my welfare monies...
Went down to Carson to collect some food vouchers at Casino Fandango (which the buffet is very nice, I've always thought) So after dinner, I thought I'd play a little craps there. Now, I'm not a new player here obviously, and most of the dealers know me by name.
So I go up to the table, and there's only two other guys playing. One of which is a regular player (regular loser, I might add) and I just happened to be up to shoot. So, I get the dice, and quickly set them, just as I always do...and I actually had a decent hand, probably about 30 minutes. Made about 7-8 points, among other numbers. So I seven-out, and the dice pass through the other two guys, who don't really make a spectacular run...and the dice come back to me..again, another nice hand, and after about 15 minutes, I notice the pit boss is standing behind me...I figure she just wants to ask me how much I bought in for, etc, so I just continue doing what I do and after a few more rolls, I seven out. After I seven out she taps me on the shoulder and says "You're not allowed to set the dice or anything like that. From now on, you are to just pick them up and toss them."
So, I took that as being kindly asked "We no longer want your business." Which I've HEARD Casino Fandango is good for 86ing you if they think you can actually win...funny thing was, I was just playing table minimum and only had won $75...but I guess the one regular player had won like 10x that amount, and for him, that's HUGE because he ALWAAAAYS loses at that table...
Not my fault if I know how to shoot the dice well enough to win..
Good riddance, I say!

It's not my fault I know how to shoot the dice well enough to win.

But it is your fault for not winning as much as the other player did on your rolls! Do you also bet small with the advantage in other AP situations? You shouldn't. Since you now know that suspected winning players will be stopped whatever their bet size, you should now know to make your play time worth your while by betting appropriately.

Well, I only bet table minimums and I only play nickle and quarter VP...I'm just a recreational player.

Any winning shooter will hear variants of the following after the suits come to the table to supervise:
- no setting the dice
- you must hit the backwall each and every time
- dont hit the sidewall, dont hit the chip piles
- your throwing too hard, nice and easy
- your throwing too soft, follow through
- your throwing the dice too high
- throw the dice lower
- throw the dice faster
- throw the dice slower
- your taking too much time, shoot !
- take your time, you have to allow time for the stickman to process bets

the goal is to put constant pressure on you.
regards...Tom

Ohh, I get that all the time...I just ignore it and focus on shooting...but this was different, the suit actually came OUT around the table, and tapped me on the shoulder...it was very clear what she meant.

I think that's the point he was trying to make. The casinos don't care if you're a pro or a recreational gambler, and they backoff lowrollers also because they know most of them are just comp hustlers that they will never win much money from anyway. So, if you have an advantage, better use it while you can, because sooner or later the casino will back you off. Make hay while the sun's shining. Betting table minimum and slow playing and short coining doesn't fool the casinos for long.
